DEFRA have declared a Protection Zone (3km) and Surveillance Zone (10km) for H5N1 Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza centred around Badwell Ash. 

Stanton falls within the Surveillance Zone and anyone who owns poultry or other captive birds should take the necessary precautions.
